Overview

• This TikTok Shop UK Platform Abuse Policy (hereafter referred to as "this Policy") lists Seller practices that constitute abuse of TikTok Shop's platform and services and are therefore prohibited on TikTok Shop.
• This Policy applies to Sellers.
• All references to TikTok Shop in this Policy are a reference to TikTok Shop UK.
• This Policy is not exhaustive, and Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring they comply with all applicable laws and regulations, all TikTok Shop UK Policies, the TikTok Shop UK Seller Terms of Service, the TikTok Shop UK Terms of Use, the TikTok Shop UK Seller Terms of Sale, and the TikTok Community Guidelines. Sellers may wish to seek independent legal advice if they have questions about the laws and regulations concerning their practices.
• Our TikTok Shop policies are updated periodically. We will generally notify you in advance of any changes to this Policy. Please see the TikTok Shop UK Seller Terms of Service for details of how we may make changes to our terms and policies. Sellers are responsible for checking this page regularly to ensure they comply with our Policy.
• TikTok Shop reserves the right to take enforcement action as set out in the TikTok Shop UK Seller Performance Evaluation Policy and TikTok Shop UK Seller Terms of Service against Sellers who breach this Policy.

Definitions

• Fake Order refers to any order that was not made by a legitimate TikTok Shop customer or for a legitimate purpose (and is therefore contrary to the TikTok Shop UK Seller Terms of Service and the TikTok Shop UK Policies and/or applicable laws and regulations).
• Platform Incentive Abuse refers to when a Seller misuses an incentive granted by TikTok Shop or abuses any of the services offered by TikTok Shop.
• Seller refers to a third-party trader on TikTok Shop.
• Unauthorised Access refers to when a person gains entry to a Seller account, computer network, system, application software, data or any other resource, without the permission of the owner of that resource, or another person who is authorised to access or grant access to that resource.

Unauthorised Access

• Unauthorised Access is prohibited on TikTok Shop and includes any actions that maybe taken after gaining Unauthorised Access.
• In addition to enforcement action against Sellers who breach this Policy, TikTok Shop may take any action it deems necessary as a precaution when Unauthorised Access is suspected or to prevent further Unauthorised Access.

Fake Orders

• Fake Orders are prohibited on TikTok Shop.
• A Fake Order can be placed by the TikTok Shop Seller themselves or any individual connected to, acting on behalf of, or directly or indirectly instructed by the Seller. This may be for the purpose of increasing sales numbers, boosting shop performance (for example, to increase shop ratings, order numbers, or positive reviews).
• TikTok Shop Sellers must not fulfill any orders that they know to be Fake Orders.

Platform Incentive Abuse

• Platform Incentive Abuse is prohibited on TikTok Shop.
• Platform Incentive Abuse includes but is not limited to manipulating the shop rating, TikTok Shop orders, price discounts and/or customer reviews.
