What is the Payment Settlement Period?

The payment settlement period (or settlement period) is the amount of time between the date an order is delivered and the date funds are released to the seller for completed orders. TikTok Shop offers five types of Payment Settlement Periods:

Introductory Settlement Period: Applies to newly onboarded sellers or sellers in the probation period. Funds are released 31 days from the delivery date.
Standard Settlement Period: The default settlement period that automatically applies to sellers out of probation who do not qualify for faster settlement tiers. Funds are released 8 days from the delivery date.
Accelerated Settlement Period: Offers a faster settlement period than the Standard Settlement Period, with eligibility determined by shop performance. Funds are released 3 days from the delivery date.
Express Settlement Period: The fastest settlement period available on TikTok Shop, assigned based on shop performance. Funds are released 1 day from the delivery date.
Deferred Settlement Period: Applies when TikTok Shop is conducting platform and/or seller security checks, which may extend the settlement period. Funds are released 31 days from the delivery date.

Note: To protect TikTok Shop from fraud, the settlement period for platform-funded shipping subsidies is 3 days from the delivery date. Actual settlement timing may vary where further investigations are necessary and is subject to TikTok Shop's discretion (acting reasonably).

Requirements for Settlement Tiers

To determine settlement tier qualification, seller evaluations are conducted at the beginning of every month. This evaluation determines which settlement tier a seller qualifies for based on the criteria below.

Accelerated Settlement	3 days from the delivery date	Sellers who meet all of the following conditions during the evaluation period: SPS score equal to or more than 3.0 and less than 3.5 Achieved over $4500 GMV during the evaluation period Out of probation No suspected fraudulent activity or risky selling behavior
Express Settlement	1 day from the delivery date	Sellers who meet all of the following conditions during the evaluation period: SPS score of 3.5 or higher Achieved over $30000 GMV during the evaluation period Out of probation No suspected fraudulent activity or risky selling behavior
Deferred Settlement	31 days from the delivery date	TikTok Shop may impose an extended settlement period of 31 calendar days for sellers suspected of fraudulent activity or risky selling behavior.
